Shake It Off



One of the creators of Nia, Carlos AyaRosas, was asked during a training, "What one move should we do every day that would give our body the most benefit?" He answered Full Body Shimmy


Get wet! Or imagine pouring water all over your body. Now get dry, with no towel. While you are at it, try the towel off your bum move by holding your arms low by your hips and wagging your tail side to side. Go wild! And really people, Shake It Off! All of it.


After your next shower, try this move before you towel off. Then move into reflection time: What is one thing that is sticking to your heart or mind that needs to shake off today?
